LOCATION FEES
Vehicle Condition
Vehicles must be returned with the interior cleaned and holding tanks emptied. The vehicles exterior does not require cleaning unless it is difficult to ascertain the condition of the vehicle on return. Fees will apply if the vehicle is not returned in the required condition.
INSURANCE OPTIONS
STANDARD RATE Standard rate leaves you still to pay a Bond/Excess of AU$7500. Payment by credit card only (Debited and refunded if no claims) or options as below can be taken to reduce bond/excess. (Options are payable at the depot except All Inclusive which should be booked when reserving the vehicle)
INSURANCE OPTION WITH STANDARD RATE:
Liability Reduction Option 1: AU$38 per day reduces Bond/Excess to AU$2500 (Debited). The maximum amount payable for this option per rental is AU$1900 (50 days)
Liability Reduction Option 2 (VIP cover): AU$45 per day reduces Excess to Nil. The maximum amount payable for this option per rental is AU$2250 (50 day rental). A security deposit of AU$250 (Credit card imprint only) is taken at vehicle pick up time.
VALUE PACKAGE - FULL INSURANCE
The Value Package is available to travellers for AU$58.75 per day and reduces the Excess to Nil on any vehicle and third party property damage. The maximum amount payable for the Value Pack per rental is AU$2937.50 Net (50 days rental) The Value Pack includes; VIP Cover, Pre-purchased gas bottle, camp chairs and table, initial set of toilet chemicals, baby/booster seats (with prior request).
2WD Vehicles: also includes unlimited windscreen and tyres and undercarriage/overhead damage. A Security Deposit of AU$250 (imprint) is made at the time of pickup to ensure that the vehicle is returned to the agreed location, on the agreed date in clean condition.
Additional Insurance/Cover is available at the depot
Windscreen and Tyre Protection Plus Extended Roadside Assistance (WAP): AU$7 per day and capped at 25 days. This includes 1 windscreen, 2 tyres and the Extended Roadside Assistance.
Extended Roadside Assistance: AU$4 per day and capped at 25 days. This includes opening RV on lock out, lost key replacement up to $120, emergency towing up to 25km, jump start, flat tyre change using spare located int the RV, fuel delivery up to 20L.
MINIMUM HIRE PERIOD
The minimum hire period is 5 days. Minimum rental periods are subject to change during other peak periods. One way hire minimums also vary depending on locations.
Between 20 December and 02 January, a minimum rental period of 10 days applies. Between 7 October and 14 October (from Sydney only) a 7 day minimum period applies. Between 23 October and 28 October (from Melbourne only) a 7 day minimum hire period applies. Between 20 January and 3 February (from Melbourne, Perth and Sydney) a 10 day minimum hire period applies.
ONE WAY FEES
One-way rentals are available between depot locations. A one way rental fee of AU$165 applies.
DEPOT LOCATIONS
Adelaide, Alice Springs, Brisbane, Broome, Cairns, Darwin, Melbourne, Hobart, Perth, Sydney.
BROOME RENTALS
An additional charge of AU$750 applies to all rental picking up or dropping off in Broome. This is in addition to the one way fee. Only the Hitop Campervan, Endeavour Camper, 4WD Adventure Camper, 4WD Trailfinder Camper, X-Terrain 4WD and 4WD Overlander are available to be rented to and from the Broome branch.
HOBART RENTALS
4WD vehicles and Vivid Camper are not available to be rented to and from the Hobart branch.
4WD Rental Locations
The 4WD Adventure Camper and Trailfinder Camper cannot be rented to or from the Hobart, Melbourne or Sydney Branches. The Overlander and X-Terrain can only be rented to or from Alice Springs, Broome, Cairns, Darwin or Perth Branches.
General Equipment/Kitchen and Personal Kits
Each vehicle is supplied with complimentary general equipment (such as pegs and clothes line, dustpan/brush, fire extinguisher, bucket/hose and broom) and living equipment (such as bedding, cooking equipment, eating utensils, bath and tea towels).
First Aid Kits
A First Aid kit is supplied in every vehicle. If the seal is broken or the Kit is not returned the Kit becomes the property of the renter and a AU$50 fee is charged when the vehicle is returned.
Pre-purchased Gas Bottle (Included in the Value Pack)
A gas bottle is necessary for cooking in the vehicle. A full gas bottle may be pre-purchased and can be returned empty to Apollo at the completion of the hire. Fee for Euro Star 4 Berth: NZ$35.
EARLIEST AND LATEST PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF TIMES
Excluding Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Year's Day and Observed Australia Day. (Closed)
Motorhome pick-up and drop-off is generally available between 8am and 4.00pm, seven days a week (see Depot hours below).

Darwin: 1 April - 19 December: 8am to 4.30pm. 7 days a week. Latest pickup: 4.00pm.
BRANCH CLOSED: 20 December to 31 March.
Broome: 1 April - 19 December: 8am to 4.30pm. Closed Sundays. Latest pickup: 4.00pm.
BRANCH CLOSED: 20 December to 31 March.
All branches are closed Christmas Day, New Years Day, Good Friday and Observed Australia Day.
DRIVERS LICENSES
All drivers must be at least 21 years old (Max 75) and hold a full and current Australian driver's licence, or an International Driving Licence, or a licence from the country of origin with English translation. The driver's licence must have been held for at least two years and be valid for the whole length of the rental.The original driver's licence must be shown at the time of pick-up when the driver is present.
CANCELLATION FEES
If cancelled 91+ days prior to pick up the deposit is retained (with a minimum of NZ$250).
If cancelled 90 to 22 days prior to pick up: 10% of Total Rental (minimum $250).
If cancelled 21 to 7 days prior to pick up: 20% of Total Rental (minimum $250).
If cancelled less than 7 days prior to pick up: 50% of Total Rental (minimum $250).
If cancelled on day of pick up or no show: 100% of Total Rental, including any applicable fees e.g. One Way Fee (minimum $250).
There is no refund for late pick up or early return of vehicle.
Original date of pick up will be used to calculate any cancellation fees. There is no refund for late pick up or early return of vehicle. Refunds by credit card can take up to 14 working days depending on the hirer's financial institution.
BOOKING AMENDMENTS WITH FLEX RATES
A NZ$25 fee will apply to amend a flex booking. Any changes made to a flex booking will be calculated by using the higher of one of two rates, either the original Flex Rate or the Flex Rate current at the time of booking alteration.
The following are considered as a booking alteration:
Change of name
Change to pick up or drop off dates
Change of pick up or drop off branch location
Change of RV category
Change or rate scheme including special rates (If the rate scheme or RV category is changed, this is considered a new booking and cancellation fees may apply to the original booking).
If rental dates are amended within 14 days of the vehicle pick up, no refund will be made if the hire is shortened.
If the pick up or drop off rental location is amended within 14 days of vehicle pick up, a relocation fee may apply.
